Manhattan and K-State are about 20 miles from Thunderbird in a straight line. That is not a drive time. Budget more when you are towing, and check a maps app the day you leave.

Staying on the lake instead of in town
People use Thunderbird as the lake night after a day in Manhattan: an RV site on CampLife, or a seasonal site if the whole summer is the plan. There is no shuttle. You drive.
If you also want the boat in the water for the season, call extension 1 and ask about the site-and-slip discount. Online booking will not lease the slip.
