The town and the lake share a name
The town of Milford is about 6.9 miles from Thunderbird in a straight line. The lake is between that town, on the east side, and this resort, on the south end near the dam. A map search for the town of Milford will not bring you to the marina. The resort address is 4725 West Rolling Hills, Junction City, KS 66441.
Our sister park on the east shore at Milford used to be Flagstop Resort & RV Park. It is now Milford Lake KOA Holiday, under new ownership that bought it in 2025, with an opening of April 1, 2026. The sister link goes to koa.com/campgrounds/milford-lake.
Two stays, one lake
Thunderbird is the marina side: slips, the fuel dock, and the south-end campground. The KOA is a separate business with its own sites and its own booking. Use the KOA if you want that park. Use CampLife park 428, or 785-238-5864, if you want Thunderbird.
Nothing on the KOA site changes Thunderbird’s season, which is April 1 through October 31 for RV sites and slips.
