Catfish on Milford Lake

Blue, channel, and flathead catfish are on Milford Lake’s species list. Thunderbird is a south-end base, not a bait recipe.

Three catfish, one lake

Blue catfish, channel catfish, and flathead catfish are all in Milford Lake. The lake is a known catfish destination, including on the Cabela’s King Kat trail. Call us for current details on tournaments.

Bait is a store question. The marina store carries live bait and lures. Hours vary with the season, so call 785-238-5864 before you count on a particular cooler being open.

After the catch

The fish cleaning station is on A dock. That is the practical amenity for a catfish day: you are not cleaning fish on a picnic table in the RV loop. Slip holders can also fish from the slip itself.

If you are trailering in for a night, book an RV site on CampLife and use one of the two ramps. Seasonal slip holders skip the trailer. Both paths are April 1 through October 31.
