Five fish, one lower lake
Milford Lake holds largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, and wipers. Smallmouth sit on the dam face and on rocky points in the lower lake. We are on that lower end, near the dam, so a short run from the marina is that water.
You will hear talk of a Kansas-record smallmouth. We will not repeat it as a fact. Come fish the lower lake and see for yourself.
Stay where you launch
The marina is gated, with cameras over the slips. Leave the boat in a seasonal slip and the truck stays parked. Site-and-slip pairs get a discount through extension 1. Nightly camping is separate and closes online at 7 PM.
Westbank sites look across the cove at the docks. Roadside is closer to the beach. Neither fact tells you where the bass are. It tells you how far you walk after you tie up.
