The beach inside the gate
The beach is sand inside the gate, with picnic tables and a swim-buoy line on the cove. There is no lifeguard on duty. Call us for current details if you need to know whether the swim area is open.
The beach sits on the cove, with Roadside sites close by and Westbank along the opposite shore of that same water. Tent sites are grouped near the beach on the resort map.
Lake versus resort
Milford State Park, on the southeast shore, has its own beaches. Thunderbird’s beach is the one inside this gate, for people staying here. If you want the state park beach, it is a separate drive. See the state park guide for what that park publishes.
If the water is not the plan, the grounds have a wooden play fort, swings, a jumping pillow, a gaga ball pit, a basketball hoop, and a sand volleyball court.
