Walleye on Milford Lake

Walleye on Milford Lake, and how a stay at Thunderbird puts you on the south end for a fishing day.

Named, not diagrammed

Walleye is one of the fish Milford Lake is known for. Call us for current details if you want a local tip before you launch.

What we can put in your hands is a place to stay on the south end and a way to keep a boat in the water. Covered slips run from 20 to 30 feet. Seasonal leases, April 1 through October 31, are booked by phone.

A practical day from the marina

Launch at one of the two ramps if you are trailering, or walk down to a leased slip if the boat already lives here. Clean fish at the station on A dock. The lower lake and the dam are the water you are already next to. Smallmouth are on the dam face, and walleye anglers work that same lower-lake water.

If you are camping and boating, ask extension 1 about the site-and-slip discount. Nightly RV sites book on CampLife until 7 PM. Pick the site by its CampLife name, such as Selected Site: WB21, after you set the Site Type filter.
